  1. Hi – my 7 year old daughter is very interested in rocks, minerals, and gems. We have read TONS of books. Is there a spot around KC where we can go hiking and look at/collect interesting rocks? Thank you!!

    1. Check out then join one of the many local clubs. They all have their own unique flair but nothing says you can’t join them all!!!

  2. Hi- my 7 year old grandson is in 1st grade and is very interested in rocks. Is there a course or program available to teach him about rocks and rock collecting. Are there any places to take him where he could find interesting rocks? We live in Greenwood (Jackson County) Missouri near Kansas City.
